Founders Feast honoring the Black Settlers of Crane Creek.
Sunday February 18th 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Deffebach Estate, 1101 River Rd, Melbourne Beach.
Did you know that Melbourne’s earliest settlers were black? Balaam Alan, Wright Brothers, and Peter Wright, along with 16 other freed African Americans and 15 Indigenous Americans, founded Crane Creek. Interestingly, an immigrant from Australia later renamed Crane Creek to Melbourne, giving the city its current name. To pay homage to these early black settlers, join us at the beautiful Deffebach estate on Sunday, February 18th. Enjoy a four-course meal, prepared by renowned Chef and culinary professor, Chef Ricarya Jackson, that celebrates the soulful, innovative cuisine of our ancestors. Live Jazz performed by Kristen Warren, CREEK and special guests will set the mood for an unforgettable dining experience. Dress to impress in formal attire.
Join us at this beautiful venue for an unforgettable experience! Tickets $75
