Stephanie Franklin was recently elected to Greek American Association of Brevard's board of directors. As a member of the board of directors, Franklin will be involved in marketing and awareness of the Greek American Association of Brevard.
"We are thrilled to have Stephanie join our board," says GAAB secretary Ioanna Hawkins. "Stephanie not only shares with GAAB a Greek heritage but also her love and zeal for the Brevard community."
GAAB supports multiple non-profit organizations throughout the Brevard community, such as Devereux, The Women`s Center, Space Coast Volunteers in Medicine, The Children’s` Hunger Project, and Serene Harbor. This is accomplished via fundraising efforts within the Brevard community and also donations. The mission of GAAB is to promote Hellenism and culture through philanthropic efforts and charitable deeds. GAAB also strives to promote good citizenship through encouraging adults to act as role models to youth. Membership is free, however, any donation is welcome.
Ms. Franklin brings to GAAB her passion and expertise. “I am hoping to make an impact on this board by encouraging the community to support GAAB and their mission to help charities in Brevard," said Franklin. "There are many organizations that need GAAB's assistance in order to meet their goals.”
Franklin, Director of Membership for the Melbourne Regional Chamber of East Central Florida, has been dedicated to helping the business community since moving to Brevard in 2004. She is on the Board of Directors for The Children's Hunger Project, is a 2010 Lead Brevard graduate, has served as the Co-Treasure for the Women's Center Guild of South Brevard, is a board member for Friends for Animals Sanctuary, and Co-Chair for the Advisory Council of Space Coast Volunteers in Medicine.
