Children at a disadvantage in their living situations are often targets for another child who hasn't identified with the disadvantaged child's situation.
This program works to eliminate the acceptance of bullying by increasing confidence. This program helps adults, as well as kids. Marty Ward, a Brevardian, began the program on the day she read about a ten-year-old who commited suicide rather than face her bully one more day. An important training session will be held June 21-23. Teachers, administrators, parents and volunteers are invited to attend. The cost of the event goes into ongoing training to help children and adults overcome their fear of bullies and bullying situations.
