At the start of August, The Children’s Hunger Project launched an ambitious goal: we aimed to raise funds to feed 100 children. We knew the need in Brevard was great, and we believed our community would rise to the challenge.
In just two weeks, that goal was met—proving once again the power of generosity when people come together. But something incredible happened next. Inspired by the momentum, we raised the bar and set our sights on feeding 300 children.
And once again, our community answered.
Donors gave what they could. Businesses hosted fundraisers. Students organized food drives. Volunteers spread the word to friends and neighbors. Some gave $5, some gave $500—but every gift mattered.
We are especially grateful to Ron Jon’s and SpaceX, who each pledged to feed 100 children. Their leadership sparked momentum and inspired countless others to give, showing how one bold step can multiply into something far greater.
That is the beauty of this story: one small act by one person—or one generous gift by one organization—can create a ripple effect that touches thousands. A neighbor’s donation becomes a meal. A meal becomes comfort. Comfort becomes hope for a child who might otherwise face an empty weekend.
Because of your support, local students won’t face weekends hungry. This milestone is more than a number. It’s proof that change begins with one person choosing to act. And when those small acts multiply, they create something extraordinary: a community where no child goes hungry.
