Remember the name of 7-year old Ella Grace Helton. She currently stars in the ABC sitcom “United We Fall”. (Episodes are also available on Hulu.) In the sitcom, Ella’s grandmother is played by the iconic actor Jane Curtin.
This pint-sized powerhouse is also an entrepreneur. “Ella Bella Beads” is a thriving business to which Ella dedicates her spare time. What makes Ella Bella Beads so special is that Ella donates a portion of the proceeds to The Children’s Hunger Project to help provide food for children on weekends during the school year. As Ella says, “I love helping the world and helping kids.”
The multi-talented Ella has been making her bead creations and acting as long as she can remember, and contributes regularly to TCHP. Ella Bella Beads was established when Ella was 4 years old, with the charitable donation concept built in. Mom Lee Nessel instilled in Ella, “When you make money, you also have to give back.”
Acting “comes natural” says Ella, and so does her desire to help others. She and her mom presented a check to TCHP for $1,000, filmed by Space Coast Daily TV’s The Friday Night Locker Room’s Orville Susong and Steve Wilson. You also get to see Ella put together a food package at TCHP.
As TCHP Excutive Director Cheryl Cominsky received the check which will feed 7 children for an entire school year, she shared “We started with one school serving 27 children and have grown to 46 schools serving over 2400 children”.
American Family Insurance made a commercial with Ella and their spokesperson Derek Jeter. American Family Insurance gave $5,000 to TCHP to support Ella’s cause, then clients from all over the country started ordering Ella’s beads! View the commerical here
Ella will be starring in “Hubie’s Halloween” this fall with Adam Sandler. Ella is a force to be reckoned with, not only for what she does in front of the camera, but what she does off camera as well. Thank you, Ella, for helping feed hungry kids here in Brevard!
