We are delighted to announce that The Children’s Hunger Project has been awarded a generous grant of $10,000 by the Community Foundation for Brevard. This funding will play a pivotal role in our mission to provide essential weekend nutrition to at-risk students in Brevard Elementary Schools. With this grant, were not just filling bellies; were fueling futures. More children can receive nutritious food packs to take home on weekends and during school breaks, ensuring they start each week with energy and enthusiasm!
This funding is a recipe for success, helping our young learners thrive both academically and socially.
Community Foundation for Brevard was formed in 1981 by community leaders, including W. G. “Doc” Strawbridge, who believed that charitable giving is an incredibly powerful way to make our local community a better place for us all. Since then, the Foundation has strengthened communities by connecting charitably-minded people to the causes that matter most to them, and by stewarding resources as donors intended. They are a 501(c)(3) public charity, and can receive gifts from those who wish to maximize tax benefits while supporting nonprofit groups and charitable causes.
Community Foundation for Brevard serves as a leader, catalyst and trusted resource for philanthropic individuals & organizations to expand, enhance and sustain Brevard’s quality of life.
