Jersey Mike’s Subs restaurants in Brevard at 8 locations this year supported The Children’s Hunger Project through their annual “Month of Giving”. March 27 was #DayofGiving and 100% of their efforts and sales for the entire day were donated to The Children’s Hunger Project to help feed more kids who are on a wait list for weekend meals.

Last year Jersey Mike’s online ordering system went down right as the lunch rush was beginning. This year the weather included hail and torrential rain, and yet we still hit a record total!

$37,000 was raised! This includes a $10,000 gift from Sysco Foods who works with us as well as Jersey Mike’s. Sysco has been a great partner for us including sponsoring our 5K and golf tournament.

Employee comment: One Jersey Mike’s employee said, “It’s our favorite day of the year in our store! I request to work extra shifts on Day of Giving!”

TCHP volunteer comment: “I have to say, I bought my office lunch from the Viera location and everyone was very excited at the shop when my receptionist when to pick it up. That is SO encouraging.”
