The owner of the Pizza Gallery has opened a new restaurant, 28 North Gastropub. Join us there for an event Sunday, April 28 from 5:00-7:00 pm. All proceeds from the event will benefit The Children’s Hunger Project kids plus, a donated keg means beers will be sold for $2.80 each, to benefit TCHP.
28 North is owned by Chris Conneen, the mastermind who brought Pizza Gallery & Grill to Brevard almost 30 years ago, and the two are side-by-side in the heart of the Avenue. Why the name “28 North”? It’s Brevard’s Latitude which translates to Local Latitude & Local Attitude! The founder is a Brevard native who grew up in a family that has always supported the local community. When the time came to dial in this new concept, the one thing that was never in question was finding a way to ensure a continued focus on enriching local organizations and entrepreneurs. An extremely talented local chef looking for an opportunity to serve his particular brand of elevated, locally sourced comfort food, and his wife, a creative mixologist with a passion for unique hand crafted cocktails, joined the owner. One part visionary restaurateur, two parts hungry creative foodies… 28 North was off and running.
